1. Re: Weather in early December. Temps don’t really change a ton no matter what time of year it is. Usually it’s upper 70s/ low 80s during the day and mid/low 70s at night. It does tend to be more rainy in the winter but all day downpours all over the island are rare, barring some major weather system.

Step away from the weather channel!! Don't trust any weather forecast that is out more than a day or two. It's almost always cloudy in Hawaii and the trade winds bring on trade showers. These are mostly on the windward side of the island but can spill over to the leeward side.
I use NOAA Honolulu (not an app) and input the local zip code or town. For Waikoloa, I input PUAKO, because that is a better way to get the coastal forecast. Waikoloa Village is six-eight miles up the mountain, and has its own weather, and the site will use the Village and not the beach resort if you input 96738 or Waikoloa.
