Hi! I went to Hawaii Waikiki on my own last June for the first time and loved it so much I plan to go back. Because of other commitments I am thinking of going next month mid to end of February. Is this a good time to go? How does the weather compare with June. I love to be able to sunbathe and lie in the sun as much as possible.
However this is our first time visiting in February. I also see rain throughout the week. In the past, rain showers can be heavy but seldom last for more than 15 or 20 minutes. We are planning lots of indoor activities. Luau reservations are on hold, waiting to see what the actual weather is like once we arrive.

Kauai will get more rain in February than the other islands. Oahu not anymore than Maui.May should be drier on all island especially the later in the month you get. A brown water event in Waikiki would be very unusual and it would need to be from record rainfall.

Our experience has been that Honolulu has beautiful weather in February. Low 80's Farenheit. Low 80's Farenheit. It can be showery, and storms can hit but generally lots of sun.
