Loyola's law school opened in 1914 and is now located on the Broadway Campus of the university in the historic Audubon Park District of the city.
Loyola University in New Orleans was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1904 as Loyola College on a section of the Foucher Plantation bought by the Jesuits in 1886. A young Jesuit, Fr. Albert Biever, was given a nickel for street car fare and told by his Jesuit superiors to travel Uptown on the St. Charles Streetcar and found a university. [6]
Loyola has been an American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school since 1935. [7] It is a member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS). [8] U.S. News & World Report ranked Loyola Law School 60th in its "America's Best Graduate Schools 2024" feature. [1] Loyola Law School's campus is located just west of downtown Los Angeles.

I can't speak to the security at Loyola, but I can assure you that, in South Louisiana, most college kids do indeed hang out in bars. Although the minimum legal drinking age in Louisiana is 21, bars can admit anyone 18 years of age or older if there are no gambling devices present.
