Below is a list of "why" we kept coming back even after trying some others stores: 1. Location: if you are staying at the north end of Nuevo Vallarta then this is one of the two closest commercial grocery stores (similar to our Canadian Superstore). It is approx. a 20-30 minute walk from the Acqua/Aria Condos, or Riu's/Samba hotels.
There is a small grocery store in Ixtapa. This is a new one, replacing the former "Scruples". Just for info: Comercial Mexicana will become Soriana in January. Whatever the name, this is a large modern grocery store with everything you could want. Of course there is also the municipal market in downtown Zihua for fresh local produce.

Comercial Mexicana. There are 3 Comercial Mexicana’s in Cancun. The largest one is a mega store on Kabah Av. There is a smaller one beside the bus station on Avenue Tulum. Both are open from 8.00AM to 9.00PM. This supermarket is especially good for fresh meats and has a great bakery.
