Anyway, on one of the days if restrictions have been lifted, we'd love to go into Chicago and visit one of the great museums there -- fun little day trip. The last I looked, visitors of all states except Hawaii (because they have such low COVID-19 rates) were to quarantine and were subject to fines if they didn't do this.
If you are visiting/vacationing in Chicago, this is not going to be worth your time visiting! We took a train out near this location on 10/6/2019 and walked to the market. The area does not appear to be a safe area to be walking in (missing car tires, many homeless people).

Re: Parking in Chicago when going out of town. 19 years ago. i personally leave my car in the garage at work.. i have monthly parking, but for most parking garages, the rate for 1 day is the same as the rate for 2 weeks ... they don't really advertise "park here for 2 weeks for $23" but the signs will say "24 hours and up ...
