We were informed that some of our flights would be operated by American Airlines (an Iberia partner). Our flight to Spain is tomorrow, and now I'm having major issues trying to confirm that we are ticketed.

    No. Only way somebody else can check your reservation is if that person knew your name, flight number and the reservation code. Even then, they would not know if you boarded the flight.
