Jun 10, 2024, 12:40 PM. Priceline is not reliable at all. The first trip I had issues with the hotel wasn't booked prothrough them and ended up having to sleep in my car. I was still charge and had to spend a lot of time to get my money back. This last time I called to let the hotel know I would be a late check in.
Priceline is mostly bad news for travel. They refer you to the airline sites and appear to bundle the trip using different airlines but if one airline cancels or modifies a flight in a way that completely messes up your whole trip you can only cancel on that airline and priceline is worthless for the whole package even if nothing is your fault at all.
My best advice is leave a review. All descriptions are never the responsibility of the agency, they are always done by the property itself - and usually their back office - not their desk agents. As for the $113 Fee, this is 100% disclosed when you book (I just did a dummy booking).
I have been using Priceline mostly for hotel bookings but I have booked 2 flights through Priceline in the past couple of years. Always reliable. Always reliable. The other service I use for hotel bookings is Expedia/VRBO/Hotels, also has been very reliable.
Not reliable at all. Be careful when you purchase any service from them. I purchased a package for my employee on priceline which stated it included two breakfast. They were turned down by the hotel for free breakfast and were told breakfast was not included. They had to pay for it.
