You'll purchase liability through your car rental company (that's required), but this AAA insurance may cover the vehicle. The only way to know for sure is to contact Hertz directly though. I always book car hire for all our US trips using my credit card and my husband does all the driving - I have never driven even if I am listed as an additional. The payment is on my cc statement and the confirmation is in my name.
