The hotel sites that offer AAA discounts have a place where you select AAA rate which is about 15% when booking online or will give the discount when showing up on the day.

AAA membership is worthwhile if you travel and use hotel discounts and other purchase discounts alone. AAA has different levels. The difference has to do with things like towing distances needed if you car broke down and you needed a tow. I manly drive within 5 miles of where I live. If need a tow I won’t have to pay extra.
15 years ago. Hi. I have made myself an expert on evaluation of rental car rates over the past 3 months. Now I cannot speak for Canadian AAA membership, but I know that I could save at least 10% on a posted rate. But, and there is a catch! You must watch carefully that they do not apply this savings to a "market" rate.

Ok I will probably book through Hertz europe website using AAA coupon, which waves underage fee, but it says CDW and LDW is included and some additional insurance, but the terms and conditions are only some general USA conditions and its pretty complicated.
Because I'm a member of AAA, I looked into renting a car through them. The agent told me they have a partnership with Hertz, so it's much safer to go with them. However, I've also read some problems people encountered with Hertz. The price that AAA quoted me is about $200 more than what I'm finding online from some other rental car companies ...
