   Right now, we have a car reserved through Costco. The price is nearly twice what we've paid in the past. The cost through Discount Hawaii Car Rental is almost identical. I am aware that prices may fall the closer we get to our arrival. If not, I may consider a name-your-price attempt through Priceline or Hotwire.

   Hotwire still had the best rates for a luxury car at $313 for 8 days with Alamo. Their regular website rate was $657, so that's around a 60% savings. Didn't really need an additional driver, but said you can add at terminal, so probably an additional charge.

   The "reviews" on the Hotwire site are from HW customers that have stayed at that particular property. It has nothing to do with Trip Advisor. When they say there are no reviews....that simply means that no HW customers have left a review. Which means.....I would avoid it. Your bank statement from the Hotwire sale will say, ALL SALES FINAL.

The difference has to do with things like towing distances needed if you car broke down and you needed a tow. I manly drive within 5 miles of where I live.
