I have a cancelled confirmation number with credit I wanted to use toward purchase of a flight. This cannot be done on the website, you must call.

My statement shows it's a TX number and White Pages look up says it's a TN number. Report inappropriate content.
8. Re: United Airlines reimbursement after flight cancellation. Sep 23, 2023, 12:18 PM. If the cancellation was for reasons beyond UA’s control ( ATC, weather, etc.), you will not be reimbursed. And, if you are eligible for reimbursement. You are limited to $200, which includes hotel, meal and transportation.
United bumped my daughter from a Thanksgiving week flight due to overbooking and promised to mail a refund check to me (the purchaser). The first week of December they told her it was in the mail. One month later, it's still not here. I went online to the refund page but when I put in her ticket number it came up "not found."

The source of my information is United Airlines. If you are entitled to a hotel (and most pax are not if the reason for the delay/cancellation is beyond UA’s control) and a hotel can’t be booked, you will be provided with a letter that has a serial number on it, and instructions how to submit your claim with receipts.
tev9999 - when United's 1-800 number specifically tells me that its up to me to confirm flight changes prior to arriving at the airport, I take that as...they don't call to inform of any changes. They're not out to get me personally, but for someone flying on a reward flight , they ain't bending over backwards either.
