We should have run out the door when the salesman said we had to sign up then to get the deal. No time to check them or their promises out. We were told lies.

    What travel deals are legit? 4 years ago. That could be a scam, or it could just be a way of enticing people to attend a timeshare presentation. Either way, I'd give it a very wide berth. As a general rule, I'd be very wary of ad's that appear to offer something for nothing, or a something at a very cheap price.

I was trying to book Hilton Waikoloa Village for thanksgiving night and everywhere the nightly rates were around $780-$800 plus taxes and fees. This one website shows me the rate of $170 and with taxes and resort fees came up to $220.

As we are in the US and it is a US based property, we decided to take a chance for a 1-night stay.
