    Nov 13, 2023, 10:58 PM. Pretty safe to use cards in Vietnam although many places do not accept them. Big hotels, up market restaurants and in shopping malls you are okay. Can change cash up at the airport at a fair exchange rate. Gold shops still open in the city to 8 pm.

When you open a grab account you have to add card to the account as an alternative payment; I am sure there is an option setup in app. I used card payment a few times back in early ‘20. However, many grab drivers prefer cash payment. Report inappropriate content.
