Hi Tanya. Found my husband’s ear drops which he uses for ear infections which he is prone to from using pools. The one that you can get over the counter is Cetraxal plus 3mg/ml. If you Google the name you might be able to tell if these will work. A couple of days and they certainly seem to get rid of husband’s ear infection.
Over the counter drops etc I could take with me. Seems last time I came back with excema and an outer ear infection that could have been caused by soaking too long in warm water + algae!! Still have the ear problems.
Because we have encountered this several times with OTC drugs in the US that are prescription in France, we jsut make sure we carry the things we are likely to need.For example, the only cough medicine short of opiates that really works is dextromethorphan which is OTC in the US, but I spend a couple of weeks hacking away with a cold in France because it was not available without prescription.
