Ciprodex ear drops is a prescription medicine used to treat middle ear infections inside the ear (also called otitis media), and infections of the outer ear canal (also called otitis externa). It is not known if Ciprodex ear drops are safe and effective in children under 6 months of age.
Dosage for Ciprodex. The usual recommended dosage of Ciprodex in patients age 6 months and older is four drops instilled into the affected ear twice daily for seven days. What Drugs, Substances, or Supplements Interact with Ciprodex? Do not use other ear drops during treatment with Ciprodex without first talking to your doctor.
Dosing. The dose of this medicine will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label.
(1) ---------------------------DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION------------------- CIPRODEX is for otic use (ears) only, not for ophthalmic use, or for injection. (2.1) Shake well immediately before use. CIPRODEX comes in the following dosage forms: Ear drops, 0.3% w/v ciprofloxacin (as ciprofloxacin hydrochloride) and 0.1% w/v dexamethasone . Do not use CIPRODEX if: • You or your child is allergic to ciprofloxacin, dexamethasone or any other of the ingredients in CIPRODEX (see What are the ingredients in CIPRODEX?).
