Shuttlebus is on level 1. Much less walking. Plus, not sure the train is running 100%. It wasn't running when I was there last week.
All of those are in the parking garage directly across from the terminal - still one of the most convenient car rental systems of any city in the U.S. Take the Collision Damage Waiver, especially since you are traveling internationally.
