I just rented a standard sized car for 3 days through Hotwire.com. I searched using Enterprise, Expedia and Mamason's link but Hotwire showed $30 bucks cheaper so I took the risk. It gave me Hertz. I'll update this post of my experience with the car rental through Hotwire.
The Hotwire Rate I booked the res. showed a VW Jetta at 27.49 per day. After the rental was returned they billed me an additional $84 on top of the reserved rate with an est. total of $126 When contacting Hotwire they said that the reserved rate was not confirmed, it would have to be paid by credit card at the time of reservation.
I'm going down for a week at the end of this month, and I want to get a cheap rental car. I usually use Hertz, but for some reason, their prices are inflated to over $500 for the week! Hotwire has some cheap options, but I don't know which rental car company it will be, and it is non-refundable, so I'm kind of nervous.
