    Apologies for this question, but i thought that the Philippines had a hard border closure, preventing any foreigners from entering the country.. Is it correct that if a foreigner from say Australia was wanting to fly into the Philippines (Manila of Cebu for example) they can do so, but will need to quarantine for 10 days in one of the designated hotels, similar to what they do in Australia.

    Michele G - I believe these rules only apply to foreigners permitted to enter the Philippines such as diplomats, spouses, permanent reidents and essential workers. The rules against foreign tourists still exist, the only change is the restricted class of foreigners and OFW's allowed to enter now no longer have to quarantine.
