But if you go to an optometrist's shop (those adapting and selling true glasses and such stuff) and say what you need, I'm 100% sure you get exactly what you need. If you know the local product version and it's for soft contact lenses, you might be lucky at large grocery / supermarket ...
However, it seems that's only likely if you're travelling through Cardiff Airport :-) Re buying at the other end: as mentioned by the OP, not all contact lens solution is the same, so it's not as simple as just popping out to buy more, even if there is somewhere nearby that sells solution.
I use Clear Care disinfecting contact lens solution and it does have travel sized bottle but instead of toting a dozen of these little bottles, I was hoping to purchase a comparable product or even better: the same product in Italy. We are only taking carryon luggage so we couldn't tote the large bottle. It is sold by Alcon/CIBAvision in the US.
