9 years ago. I am mapping out a massive USA Road Trip and had my route drive times on the website: roadtrippers.com. A couple times seems 'long' to me so I went to google maps & all times were significantly shorter (yippee!). Went to mapquest.com & times were similar to Google Maps BU each leg of trip was 15-30 minutes longer on mapquest.

The National Map by the United States Geological Survey. Roadtrippers - covers the whole country. TerraServer-USA - covers the whole country.
My triple A maps shows that using the CBBT route adds about 1.5 hours onto the trip, but if I can cut out the city driving in those two metropolis areas, I think the extra drive time might be worth it. I also think we would all enjoy the scenary, which other posters really seem to rave about.
I’ve found Google Maps to be very reliable in France.The “offline” feature works really well if you don’t have data coverage. I don’t drive in France myself but I spend a lot of time in the passenger seat beside a professional who does, and his go-to app is Google plus a paper Michelin atlas.
