Answer 1 of 2: Hello, I'm looking to rent a car in Geneva for 5 days later this month. I understand that, quite rightly, most major companies don't accept Debit cards (only credit cards) for the security deposit to be paid on picking the car up.
All reliable rental companies need a credit card in the name of the driver and renter. Maybe you can rent a car without, but then it would be with a local rental company, without insurances. And you would have to give a huge security deposit by cash (a few thousend dollars).
