stop the sync with the cloud. get a cheap external drive or 2 with a USB connection and keep the photos on the external hard drive instead of the cloud. I only plug in the external drive when I need to access the photos.

Whats the best method of backing up photos while on vacation. I dont want to take a laptop, or use the cloud. Any suggestions for the best device about the size of a cigarette package where you just insert the camera card and it gets automatically copied to the device's own hard drive.
