Finally at $14 they took it. I got a mid-sized car (monte carlo SS) for what ended up being about $30 bucks less than it would have cost me using the coupons from my entertainment book. 17 years ago. I just used Priceline to rent a car for my March trip. The prices on Expedia, Travelocity and the individual rental sites were running about $255 for seven days. I named my own price, and ended up with a rental for seven days for $150. IMO, there's no reason not to use Priceline for rental cars.

I've used priceline name your price twice now..both times I've gotten my rental with hertz..last year I got a ford escape for a total of $220 for 6 days (I bid $25/day)..,this year we have rented a compact car for $17/day total $179 for 6 days.
Answer 1 of 16: Recently I rented car through Priceline express deal for vegas with price match guarantee. Yesterday I found the EXACT ITINERARY INCLUDING PROVIDER (ADVANTAGE) for $25 less on the Priceline web site so I called Priceline.
I was thinking of renting a compact for 2 days during a week-long trip in September. I signed up with Dollar, got my receipt and didn't see the insurance I had requested on the bill.
