   Delta baggage cost, when booked through virgin. 2 years ago. Good evening. We booked a multi destination trip through Virgin holidays. Flights to and from the UK are with Virgin Atlantic, but the internal flights in the USA are with Delta. Looking online it says baggage checked in is 30$ a bag with Delta, the lady never said this to us.

   Hold luggage is different and is determined by the marketing carrier. Buy and AF operated flight from Delta with a DL flight number then the baggage allowance would be the Delta one. Buy from Air France with AF flight number and it may be different but they have it on the ticket info so checkin are aware what is allowed when you drop the bag off..

   According to KLM the fee will be based on the first operating airline's rules. They could not give me an exact amount for the fee, but I hope it won't be the 85€ the calculator on the website gives me. Seems excessive considering Delta charges 50€/bag on transatlantic routes (no matter when and where you pay it).
