7. Re: American Airlines - no email confirmation after 48h. 5 years ago. My AA confirmation email shows as a "Confirmation and Receipt" with the record locator code. Our experience is that 24 hrs with AA is not all that unusual but 48 hrs would be. You might try this: make an account with AA.
2. If the flight number on your ticket/confirmation for the first flight is an AA flight number (even if operated by BA), AA will decide the checked baggage allowance for all flights on the ticket. In practice it won’t make any difference, AA and BA checked baggage allowances on these flights would be the same.
12. Re: American Airlines - no email confirmation after 48h. The OP said in they do not have an Aadvantage number, signing up for one won't assign it to an existing reservation. If your credit card has the ticket number you can use the refund page at aa.com to retrieve your reference number.
One is called Booking Confirmation, which would contain your itinerary and payment confirmation, the other (usually arrives second) is the actual e-ticket, which comes as a pdf attachment. All the flights should be detailed on both of these, and if they are on the e-ticket you should be fine.

It can take a bit to issue the ticket and change the status from pending to ticketed but if they said call then call. Normally they won’t send an email that there’s a problem unless there’s a problem. Report inappropriate content.
5. Re: Confirmation of flights booked through third party. When you use a third party agent you'll have multiple reservations each with their own code (in airline speak a PNR). You need to study the confirmation from your agent for the PNR for the (each) airline and use the specific one on each airline site.
8. Re: American Airlines Seating Assignment Question. 5 years ago. You should receive a "check in" email about 24 hours before your flight. You can check/ buy seats then. Even if you have already bought your seat selection they might have cancellations or changes and you might get side by side seats.
