And if you grab a copy of the local free publication called Charleston City Paper, you'll find some advertising on specials and happy hours of restaurants for a quick bite. The top rated ones don't offer discounts.
It's a tradition in my family to stop at the Welcome Center right after you cross the Florida State line and drink the free fresh orange juice they give out - it is also when we pick up as many coupon books as we can find.
