I have had instacart deliveries to hotels all the time (including with alcohol, usually beer), but many hotels treat the process very differently.

I am familiar with the area and locations of stores (lived in West Ashley for about 8 years until 2015 and still visit In-laws often in Yonges Island/Hollywood).
