we were looking for a dessert place and were told to try Pie in the Sky. Overall, the restaurant/bakery is very busy, the customer service needs to be improved and the space is tiny. They do have a generous selection of both dessert and baked goods, but they were just alright. I am not sure they were worth the rush and madness to get them
To experience the whole selection of pies you have to get there early – they start serving pie at 10:30 a.m. and typically run out of most flavors by mid-afternoon. To get to the Rock Creek Lakes Resort, you will need to take US 395 to the Tom’s Place exit (about 14 miles south of Mammoth Lakes and about 25 miles north of Bishop).

The "pie" in the "sky" refers to steak pie served in a restaurant on the top of Mount Snaefell, Laxey, Isle of Man. The steak pie was delicious! We went to an event to star gaze as the Isle is known for the best star gazing the best place in the British Isles to do so. We took the trolley from Douglas to Snaefell, a delightful, rustic trip.
For the people who love baked goodies, sandwiches and deserts Pie in the Sky is an ideal place for take-away and dine-in. (Dine-in is available at some of the outlets e.g., Muhammad Ali and Zamzama). Their cakes and brownies are to die for, specially Fig n Almond cake which you can keep for as long as a week without spoiling.
