just get a multi regional dvd player and all is solved. or u can download software off the net and either play your non home region dvd's on your computer without problems or make copies of your non home region dvd's which will then play on your regionalised dvd player.
As those who've encountered the problem themselves, will know, unless an Italian language DVD has been sold in the USA and coded as Region 1 or coded as "region free", you cannot play it on your laptop with the DVD player included in your laptop, with one exception that is a major problem.
Re: region 2 dvd player. Region "2" is DVD. There are many region free DVD players around, especially online. None of the region free (and multi-system) players I bought (I have 3) have "problems". They play DVDs from Japan, Europe,.. etc just fine. Japanese blu-ray discs will play in North American players. 3.

1) DVD's unfortunately are region coded, the US is in region 1 while the UK is in region 2. The simplest solution is simply to buy a new DVD player that is region free, they are now very easy to buy and quite cheap in Europe.
