Liar, liar, pants on fire! I paid under $100 for an 8 day rental. The shuttle was also very fast with friendly, helpful drivers. I would rent from them again because the price was so incredible. Check retailmenot.com for discount codes and also join the free club on the Payless site for an additional discount.

Stick with the majors, such as Hertz, Avis, National, Thrifty, Alamo, Budget, Dollar, and you're less likely to have problems. It also helps to join a "frequent renter" club with a car rental company: Hertz - #1 Club; National - Emerald Club; Avis - My Avis; etc. There are really no hidden fees.
