That doesn't mean that they won't take them, but you could get someone that is a stickler for policy. Report inappropriate content.
Re: Iceland car rental insurance vs credit card insurance. 1 year ago. My CC will cover 100% of the car damage, however that is only up to $65,000CAD. Which does not cover many cars in Iceland. SO do check that carefully. You also need to be aware that the user pays for the damage, and then claims back from the CC.

If you are returning the car at the end of your trip, the risk being - you won't know if all is well with the debit card until you get home.
