No bare shoulders - sleeves should be at least half way between shoulder and elbow. No bare midriffs, no low necklines. For men - slacks that cover the knees - and at least short sleeves.

October can be very warm so you need to wear layers. Bring a shawl in case you need a cover-up. This is a very casual society.

    1. Re: Dresscode in Jerusalem. dress modestly and respectfully at places of worship and the western wall. at the wall and in synagogues you will need to cover your head but kippot are supplied at the wall. if going up to the temple mount dont wear a crucifix or make overtly religous gestures.
