Instruct the boss to exit the terminal at door #3 on the departures level, using the crosswalk to reach the middle 'island' where he'll find two bus shelters in case of weather. As you approach the terminal, stay in the left inside line, should be an easy pickup. 3-5mins to make the loop around.
1. Re: Miami airport passenger pickup. There are no set pickup areas. American operates from the North Terminal and will be the first airline you see as you enter the airport. I suggest having them meet you on the upper level (Departures) as its much less congested than the lower (Arrivals) level.

The Global Entry line at MIA usually moves very fast; it’s never taken very long for us to get through. What can take time, though, is waiting for your luggage to arrive after you pass through Immigration.
