Vatican tour - take your own headphones. I was on an official Vatican tour a couple of days ago. They give you a receiver and a bright green one-ear earbud headphone. It was terrible quality. At first I thought it was the receiver, but when I plugged the green earbud into my iPhone it sounded terrible there, too.

They come on a long strap that you hang around your neck, punch in a number and then hold to your ear when required. There is nowhere to plug in your own earbuds - same for the Roman Forum /Palatine.
