It makes sense that 221 was the actual location of the filming so someone doing The Wire tour should definitely stay there! Unfortunately we didn't find any restaurants to eat at (the Greeks place nor the Lake trout carry out) so can't give any advice there unless you would go to any of the mentioned in the guide at Wikitravel.
