Save. @Western_Traveler, agreed about Kenya — they have their act together with the evisa (and joint visa with Rwanda and Uganda), to the point where they’ve been able to eliminate the visa on arrival. Tanzaniahas a long way to go to get to that point.
The e-Visa was official started in November 2018 by the Immigration Commission of Tanzania and is applied to both Mainland and Zanzibar Island. The traditional On Arrival is currently operational, no official declaration on its closure. The e-Visa takes 10 days to process.
Save. On April 25th Ministry of Health for Tanzania announced the launch of the online form for the traveler's health declaration. This must be completed within 24 hours before arrival in to Tanzania and once completed will issue a unique health code which should be presented upon arrival. Here is the link 😊.

E visa application question. I completed an online form for an e-visa on the official TZ site. There is a final review screen to check for errors before final submission. The application input form asks for the arrival date and number of days-of-stay. I entered 6/14 arrival and 13-day stay in the required fields.
I'm afraid it's a scam. They took USD 119 per person from our creditcard (this amount wasn't mentioned beforehand) and now we can't get in contact with them. We had to get our creditcard blocked. I've called the Tanzanian embassy and they said to just request the visa on arrival. Report inappropriate content.
