Her next flight was not until 5 am the next morning.I called the customer service line to see what could be done after waiting for 2 hours the rep said there is no way to pay a pet fee online or over the phone. I would have to call the airport which there is no way to get a hold of American Airlines at the airport.

Terrible American Airlines experience. Our flight to Dallas was delayed (eventually cancelled) so we missed connecting flight to honolulu. Rebooked us the next day ( I was on hold for 2 hrs to talk to someone—11pm-1am) which cost the 4 of us $350 for two hotel rooms addl night, and $400 for seat upgrades to get only remaining seats on connecting flight.
We then had to wait in a customer service line for two hours to get rebooked to a flight next day which cancelled all our plans. The customer service representatives were very rude and claimed the delay was due to weather, likely to avoid compensating us. Date of travel: May 2024. Seat comfort. Customer service.
