   Each to their own of course, but personally speaking I find it helpful. I usually stay 9 nights in Vegas when I visit, so I'll usually rent a car for 2 separate days at different points in the trip, to head out to RedRock or downtown, or to do some shopping excursions or a supermarket run for room snacks/drinks, or go exploring or out to Southpoint or whatever.
