It was launched in 2007 in several cities in the United States, and has since expanded to include all of the country's major and minor cities, as well as the cities and rural areas of many other countries worldwide.
Google Street View covers most regencies and cities in Sumatra (except most of Aceh ), Java, Nusa Tenggara Islands, Borneo, Sulawesi, and North Maluku (includes Ternate, Tidore, and parts of Halmahera ). There is currently no official coverage in Maluku (province) and the Papua region, if it exists, then all of them are unofficial.
