I just played around in Google Maps by entering Memphis as the start, Charleston as the destination, and adding Columbus, GA as an intermediate stop. It gave me: I-22 to Birmingham. I-65 to Montgomery. I-85 East to AL 186 to US 80 East to Columbus. GA 540 and SR 96 East to I-16 southeast of Macon. I-16 to I-95 north to US 17 into Charleston

It's a nice road, 4 lane almost all of the way and goes through some of Georgia's prettiest farmland (IMO) in south Georgia. If I were making this drive, I'd cut over to the west on I-10 to pick up 27 and drive it all of the way. Use Google maps to "see" the route. Put in Tampa > Bluffton, GA > Rome, GA > Chickamauga, GA.

6. Re: Driving from Columbus Ga. to Kissimmee Fl. 4 years ago. Use Google maps or Map quest. Hwy 27 to 82 to I-75. Exit onto the turnpike after Wildwood. And turnpike to Hwy 192 comes out on the west side of Kissimmee. No need to get on I-4 but it would depend where in Kissimmee you need to go.
