RoadSide Assistance in the USA. 7 years ago. Hello everyone me and my now wife are shipping our VW 1972 T2 Bay Window Camper van over to Baltimore, Maryland. As you know old VW's are not the most reliable things around so we wanted to get some roadside assistance just in case. We are starting in Baltimore and sort of doing a loop around America ...

The membership is also good in any other state you may travel through. The hotel discounts alone are worth it and we have used the roadside assistance and free towing on several occasions (great peace of mind if you do get stuck somewhere with a flat tire, dead battery, or worse). 8. Has anyone bought Emergency Assistance Plus? - Tripadvisor

    www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g1-i13626-k...

It is only for emergency assistance and doesn't cover medical costs. It does cover ambulance service, medical evaluation, nurse escort if necessary, cash advance for medical payments to keep medical care going if your credit card isn't enough. We are also looking for travel insurance since we are out of the country for 5 months of the year.

AARP - That won't get you any discounts in our experience (but I don't look that closely to be honest) and we completely agree with your view of them, LOL :-) We used to have Good Sam Emergency Road Service. I don't think we have *ever* had satisfaction from a problem :-( We got rid of that several years ago after we had a flat tire on our 5th ...
