There are so many ways to get discounts. Groupon, vegas4locals, goldstar, Eventbrite, and livingsocial are a few apps to check for discounts to events. Most of these have restrictions so read them carefully. Also check to see if there are any coupon books in your hotel room.
The Las Vegas Advisor continues to offer their Member Rewards Book; it offers some good values for primarily off- Strip properties..assuming you have access to inexpensive transportation to and from those properties/venues..and the intent to redeem enough of the coupons to justify the purchase cost ( it's $50 for the MRB coupon book).
I use to always buy at least one coupon book before every trip, usually Las Vegas Advisor. Now I look up the listings of ones offered in these books and I can usually google the same coupon for free, not always but majority of the time. Also using tickets 4 tonite has been a great money saver for shows and dinners.
Both are excellent coupon books. ACG, as noted, offers coupons for other casino destinations as well as Vegas, plus general hotel and gambling information. I personally feel too many of their coupons are for lower level buffets. I am a proud pimp for Las Vegas Advisor and the POV.
Answer 1 of 6: I've seen positive comments on this board about a few types of coupon books that would be worth buying prior to a visit to Las Vegas. Looking for reminders of which book(s) would be a good bet for my April trip.
