    Save. I don't think California has any rules regarding that. Rules as to what you can carry on airplanes are not from individual states. I have flown to California hundreds of times with prescription meds in my carry on and never had a single question or issue about it. You always want to carry on your meds and never pack them in checked luggage.

Some can be purchased in travel size at a greater cost. A few times I've put several recognizable vitamins (to me) together in one bottle.
