   I recently rented a car through the AARP Website from June 25 - July 2 in San Diego. When I went through the AARP web site, I had purchased the Rental Car Protection Plan for $80.00. When I went to the counter at the San Diego Airport, I explained to the agent that the protection plan was purchased.

   Just want to alert fellow travelers to what I feel is shoddy business practices by Payless car rental. I reserved a car at the San Diego airport, listed my arrival time as 10pm and received a booking. I just happened to check on the location and shuttle before I left only to find out that the office and shuttle closes at 10pm .

   We rented from Payless Car Rental at the San Diego Airport. We had to wait a half an hour for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport. Apparently you have to call the Payless office to be picked up at the airport. Then we waited another half an hour at the counter at Payless. They tried to scare me into getting their insurance, which I didn't.
