    Most modern airports separate the departure and arrival in 2 different levels. But San Diego Airport is of the older design - flat, one level only. Follow the signs when you drive in. If you miss it, you can always, easily circle back again. San Diego Airport has Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. note which terminal your passengers are using.

    7 years ago. I find One Hour is plenty enough time at the San Diego airport. I usually arrive 1 hour before my flight and usually end up sitting at the gate for 30 minutes waiting for boarding to begin. In Las Vegas for example I arrive 90 minutes before my flight as the secuirity lines can be much larger then San Diego.

    Since it looks like you are flying on the same carrier for both flights (Southwest) I would recommend that you call them if you have any concerns. They have booked you on those flights and most likely have determined 1.5 hours is plenty of time. The airport is pretty small and it doesn't take long to get around it.

Generally speaking, SAN is not as busy as LAX or SFO for international flights, and hence there is fewer competition for arrivals. But it still does get international flights, and big ones too if from Asia and Europe.
