The airport is on the far east side of the city so there isn't much nearby. It takes about 40 minutes to get from the airport to downtown Denver.

Depends on where you're coming from but if you have to go thru customs you'll head to main terminal from A gates then head back to luggage check & thru security in same general area. If you pack light you won't have to recheck your luggage. It's probably enough time.
