9 years ago. Anyone have the DIRECT phone number for Thrifty Car Rental at ABQ Airport? Their 800 number reps will not give it out and the contact I have and online only have their national #s (877) 283-0898 + 800 THRIFTY. I need to ask them about a minor change of plans and keep getting conflicting info from these national reps.

The worker was kind. He even upgraded my car. When my sons and I got in the car they complained the car smelled like poop mixed with lemon. I just could smell the lemon. The odor wasn’t enough to complain or change the vehicle. The car return went smoothly. However 8 hours later I was sent a 300$ charge for damages.
Thrifty Honolulu airport rent a car sent a letter charging $43.00 for gas after a week we returned the car with full gas. The charge is being disputed with the same credit card company we charged the gas prior to returning the car to Thrifty. Looks like most reviews had the same issues of scamming car renters with additional charge for gas!
Most of the cust. service reps were nice, but were either powerless or just too apathetic to help me. The two that I asked to get a supervisor on the phone were rude and condescending and never honored my request. I asked the Hertz manager to call the back line number at Thrifty and ask them to take care of it while I waited on the phone.

Thrifty car rentals did a bait and switch, waiting for me to arrive to tell me that my reserved vehicle was not available. They then charged me 3x what my reservation was for to get a similar but smaller vehicle after I refused to pay $400+ for a suburban. Ny $117 van cost me $360 for 3 days. They knew they had me and they really screwed me over.
