I went through a full body scan a few weeks ago at SFO on my way to HKG...it was easy. Stand on the printed foot prints, raise your arms, wait for the TSA agent to wave you on. I never saw who was looking at the scan, they were in a room far away from the security area. This is much faster then a pat down and much more private.

On the issue of body scans vs. pat-downs -- I would prefer the body scan theoretically, but if my belongings were to be out of sight -- the pat-down in public would be totally fine. We all have the same parts and I really don't care.
