I'd imaging Stonington high school is better. The best public schools are in Madison and East Lyme. it's a trade off because houses are more. There is a nuclear power plant in waterford. Also in New London/Groton is HUGE Pfeizer drug company. The Submarine base is in Groton. Remember the casinos, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are 10-15 min away.
