Re: Dropping off passengers at MCO. 14 years ago. Hi. Yes 3hrs is perfectly sufficient. The signs are clearly marked. Drop off at departures, you can only simply unload your luggage and go to your check-in area. Otherwise if you wanna do what you've asked you need to drive round to the short stay car park.
As the other post said, if you are talking about Orlando airport you will want to allow more time than that. The security line at MCO is slow. We got to the airport 2 hours before our flight last month and made it to our gate just in time. We even checked our luggage at our Disney resort so we didn't even have anything but our carry-ons.
On return to MCO Do Not Follow " Car return". Follow "Departures" . this will take you up a ramp and along side the different airline departures.. Drive along this quite long road till you come to Virgin. (about three quarters the way along) Remove your luggage from car and leave the wife/kids to look after it..

Unfortunately rental carsare not available for drop off/pick up at Terminal C as of yet. Your best option when returning your caris to return it at Terminal/Garage B.
